Venture Capital Funding Rebounds in June with $2.8B Raised
Venture capital funding surged to $2.8 billion in June, marking a significant recovery from May's $594 million slump. The figure nears March's $2.9 billion peak, signaling renewed investor confidence in digital asset markets.
Kalshi led funding rounds with a $185 million Series C, followed by Digital Asset ($135 million) and Zama ($57 million). Private token sales added momentum, including UAE's $100 million purchase of WLFI and a16z's $70 million EigenLayer investment.
Artificial intelligence projects dominated deal volume with 21 funding rounds totaling $116 million. Prime services firms unexpectedly claimed the funding crown, with five projects collectively securing $1.15 billion - demonstrating institutional infrastructure remains a priority despite AI's narrative dominance.
